B2B by Practice can be used as a platform to build industry specific content. It is a generic platform wich provides the Infrastructure for Data-Exchange (Mapping, Process Flow, technical transports..). In addition a Practice delivers the Mappings and Conversion between a given Industry Data Format and specific ERP Systems.
For each Practice the Content Delivery is independent. As most of the Formats are EDI based the content consists out of these building blocks:
- Inbound
- Format recognition
- Data validation
- Data conversion to XML Representation
- Data Mapping to ERP format
- Receiver Determination, of multiple internal Systems
- Data Correlation
- Acknowlegement to Sender
- Message specific Process Flow
- Data Transfer to ERP/Backend System
- Error Handling if necessary
- Outbound
- Message Transfer from ERP/Backend System
- Receiver Determination
- Data Mapping to Industry format in XML represenation
- Message specific Process Flow
- Data conversion to physical Message Represenation (e.g. EDI) dependent on Receiver
- Send physical Message using the appropriate Transport dependent on Receiver
- Wait for Acknowlegement
- Error Handling if necessary
